Our approach to handling problems is not reacting, but preventing.
We previously survey all the possible difficulties and make a prevention plan against them. This is what we call proactivity.
For supporting the operation of this system we created the IQS (Internal Quality Standards), which are previously defined guidelines that must be followed at all times. By the support of these we make smooth every single moment of the tour, starting from the transport to putting up tents and from pulling off to the afternoon games. We do not aim to abuse the participants all the time with these rules (in most cases they don't even know the existence of them), but to create an invisible web around them that gives protection from the possible dangers (that are also there in everyday life), meanwhile it provides a huge learning, playing and entertaining opportunity.
For groups above 40 persons the Hungarian National Railways offers possibility to reserve separate carriages. We always make the best of this opportunity. If the number of participants is under 40, one of the guides reserves enough space for all of us. In order to avoid carrying bags unnecessarily, a car transports all the luggage from Budapest to the departure point and from the arrival point back. We always take second-class rapid or express trains. Occasionally we take buses but trying to avoid it as much as possible.
We always stay at clean and tidy places, no matter if it is a designated or an illicit campsite. During the pre-tour the guides survey and decide the sites we are going to stay at. The most important guideline is, that the site will never be covered with water, even during the sudden (but not unexpected, see "water level") floods we might experience.

It is very important that everything you bring should be of good quality, as some small damage can make everything very inconvenient, starting from a wrong zipper on the sleeping bag on a cool night. We work only with the highest standard equipment and expect our partners to do so. We provide paddles and life vest at your size!

We give plenty to eat three times a day. Dishes prove to be tasty and popular. We cook for ourselves on open fire in a cattle.
We always serve with nourishing and delicious food, keeping it untouched from the heat in a portable fridge.

The leader of the tour is qualified in guiding and first aid. We collect information about the location of the nearest doctors and hospitals, so if someone get sick we know what to do and immediately take them there using the car. In case someone gets ill, they can miss out 1-2 days from paddling and company the driver and go to the next campsite. Due to the car nobody has to finish the tour earlier than planned.
We have a first aid box that contains the following: rubber gloves, antiseptic gauze, Leucoplast, plasters, tissue for ear cleaning, scissors, bandage, Betadine, medicinal charcoal tablets, Voltaren cream and pills, Flector cream, Algopyrin, Rennie, Calcium Sandoz, Neocitran, Aspirin, Tisasen, Mebucain, B6, Deadelon, Neogranormon, Immodium, Fenistil, Demalgon.
No guest of ours has ever had to go home in consequence of sickness.
For the possibly most reliable weather forecasting, we created the KANKU (looking at the sky, in Japanese) program. Within the framework of this, we are in daily connection with the National Meteorological Service that provides us with detailed information about the expected weather of the region. In case of extreme weather we can interrupt paddling during the day and the car can take us to the campsite. At the same time, there must be some people who are able to take the canoes there on the water as well. If we decide not to pull off that day, then every one of us can take the car.

Carrying out of the daily distance is highly influenced by the water level as well. Heavy rains on the drainage area of the river can cause significant rise of water level, even on the lower sections in 1-3 days. The speed of the river also rises, occasionally making the navigation dangerous. So as to avoid such happenings we created the MIZUKU program (looking at the water, in Japanese) going together with KANKU. We are in everyday connection with our friends at the National Water Management Institute who provides us with sufficient information about the expected changes of water level.

The Team of Evezzvelem is devoted to protecting Nature. We never leave waste behind or damage Nature in any other way. It also includes fire that we always keep under control. We burn only deadwood, never touch living trees.
